involves assessing current and planned lighting, landscaping, traffic flow, and parking areas, at the initial design phase or remodeling stage.

Information Gathering - is important for assessing the real goals and objectives of the stakeholder's most valuable asset - the employee. We have an established record in this area having been involved in thousands of investigative interviews.

Access Points and Controls (Interior and Exterior) - reviews are conducted on locking mechanisms and hardware, access control systems, cards (swipe systems, proximity cards, etc.), gates, and fencing.

Systems - a review of computer security to deal with internal/external breaches, sabotage, and criminal manipulation. We also provide expertise in the areas of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and telecommunications. Member of the High Technology Crime Investigators Association (HTCIA)

Design and Development Phases - during the design or development phase of a project, we can assist in the assessment of a proposed site, the area's crime patterns, and the potential vulnerabilities to staff and public. Recommendations can be provided on appropriate building materials and engineering features to mitigatepotential exposure to internal and external threats. Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng) and the International Association of Bomb technician Investigators (IABTI)

Integrity Inspections - MKD can conduct unannounced site visits to assess the current state of security. Experience has shown that these periodic inspections are beneficial in identfying vulnerabilities and level of compliance.

Comprehensive Reviews and Audits - once the goals and objectives for a review have been established, we develop a customized plan to conduct comprehensive interviews, audits, reviews, and assessments. MKD utilizes our expertise in concert with Industry Guidelines, Standards, and "Best Practices" to develop a set of recommendations that will assist in adressing the identified concerns while respecting the client's individual and unique needs.
